Candidate Statement

Is there any better place to live than Trilogy at the Vineyards?  There are so many reasons to love it and we all look forward to spending many more happy years socializing with our friends and neighbors.  Recently our community has reached a significant milestone.  Homes are totally built out and Shea has totally checked out from a financial and management standpoint.  The current board has done an excellent job in undertaking the transition from Shea to self management and now the time has come for us to independently ensure we keep our active resort lifestyle strong, our homes and facilities in beautiful condition, and all the while keep our dues at reasonable rates.

I am running to be elected to the Trilogy at the Vineyards HOA Board of Directors.  I’ll look forward to meeting you before the election to talk about issues we face and the opportunities they present.  There are three areas that need attention:  more targeted and informative communications, navigation of the upcoming financial events that will impact all residents, and last but not least ushering in a different approach to work which stresses collaboration and cooperation.

My previous experience as a member of corporate and non-profit boards will be helpful in serving you.  More importantly, I have served on our HOA’s Finance Committee for two years so I’m largely up to speed on most of the issues now facing us.  That coupled with my down to earth and common sense approach to problem solving will allow me to hit the ground running.  

I look forward to meeting with as many of you as possible in the next few months before the election.  Learning about the issues we face and understanding all sides of the issues from your perspective is critical…and that doesn’t stop after an election.  Thanks for your support.
